If you want to raise awareness about anti-racism in your organisation and work environment, but don't know exactly how and where to start, our online toolbox is the right support for you!
It was developed together with experienced trainers from anti-racism work, tested and revised in various workshops with employees from diversity employee ressource groups and is specially designed for use in the work context.
The elaboration was supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration and the Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Racism, Reem Alabali-Radovan.
+++ Please note: A large part of the Toolbox content is currently only available in German. We are working on adding more English content soon. +++
Before you start, here are a few pointers:

Strengthening competences is the first step in dealing with racism in the workplace in a reflective way - both as a person without experience of racism and as a person with such. It is important to create a foundation and provide basic knowledge on the topic of racism. Here you will find tools to create a theoretical basis, to sensitise for a racism-critical language and to sharpen the perception for racism in society and in structures.
Allyship and solidarity with people who experience racism is important! If you want to actively do something, you can find the right support here. Of course, it is also important to first become aware of one's own privileges. Because before we can unlearn and change certain racist ways of thinking and actions, they must first be recognised. Here you will find tools to help understand how racism functions as a power system, how privilege and discrimination are structurally connected and why we unintentionally think racist, behave racist and profit from this system.
Creating places of dialogue is an important building block for an anti-racist working environment in one's own organisation. However, it is often difficult enough to talk about and advocate for the issue and then to do it in your own company and in your own team!? But it is not impossible! Every racist thought that is interrupted and every bullshit saying that is nipped in the bud with arguments is a small success in the right direction! Here you will find tools for a wide variety of everyday situations where you can do something and not remain inactive!
