New Diversity Officer

For the first time there is a Diversity Officer at UE! At UE we are dedicated to creating and upholding a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that fosters belonging for everyone on our campuses. This position is in place to do just that.

Ausgangslage und Ziel des Projektes/der Maßnahme

UE needed a position dedicated to anti-discrimination at our university to ensure that our DEIB goals are reached. This role involves overseeing a wide range of initiatives, including updating regulatory frameworks around DEIB at UE and educating and empowering marginalized and stigmatized groups through events, workshops and trainings.

Umsetzung

We implemented this measure by creating a new full time position, Diversity Officer, dedicated to anti discriminatory work on our campuses.

Ergebnisse des Projektes/der Maßnahme

Students, staff and faculty now have a person to contact in case of discrimination. They also know that there is an individual dedicated to ensuring that UE is creating and meeting DEIB goals that reflect the university's values.
